Richard “Dick” Hulbert was born December 29, 1931 in Marshall, CA and passed away November 20, 2018 in Roseville, CA.

He was born to Edith and Marion Hulbert. Dick was the youngest of 7 siblings, who all preceded him in death.

Dick served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his time in Korea, he went to work at his family’s saw mill in Cloverdale. A few years later he came to Roseville and began his career at Southern Pacific Railroad, where he worked until his retirement in 1993.

In 1976, he married love of his life, Erma May, whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his grandchildren, Jason, Rachel, Brandon, Cody, Angela, Franklin and Daniel along with great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews

Dick was involved California State Railroad Museum (6000+ volunteer hours), the Folsom, El Dorado and Sacramento Historical Railroad Association, the Placerville and Sacramento Valley Railroad and the Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association (EDGE&TA).
